Zulassung für Goodyear Polyglas F 70 / 14 ???

Hallo,kann man Goodyear Polyglas F 70-14 hier in Deutschland ganz offiziell zulassen? Die (neu-produzierten) "Original"-Reifen haben nämlich keinen Speed-Index o.ä., sind aber 1970 original auf dem amerikanischen Auto gefahren/ausgeliefert worden.Goodyear Deutschland kann mir nicht weiterhelfen.CulversBeitrag geändert:31.03.07 19:00:17

na jetzt bin ich mal gespannt auf die Antworten, denn auf genau diesen Fragen habe ich damals bei Firestone bez. meiner neu produzierten "Redliner" auch auf Granit gebissen...einen Speed-Index gibt es bei amerik. Diagonalreifen sowieso nicht, die werden von DOT bzw. FMVSS nach Temperature-Classes eingestuftein "Temperature Class A" Reifen ist dabei der hochwertigste, die anderen sind eh' meist nur zweite Wahl

Wieso kann der Hersteller Dir nicht die Tragfähigkeit und max zulässige Geschwindigkeit bestätigen????Wissen die das selbst nicht?Grüße

Ich habe schon beim Reifenhersteller nachgefragt, aber solch eine Bestätigung gibt es für die Reifen nicht. War wohl damals nicht nötig in den USA.

Selbst wenn das in USA nicht nötig ist muß der Hersteller doch wissen was man seinen Reifen abverlangen kann-er hat ja schließlich eine Herstellerhaftung -auch in USA.Mir absolut unverständlich.Oder falscher Ansprechpartner?Grüße

nach FMVSS 109 (gültig für alle US-PKW Reifen nach 1948 ) müssen auf der Flanke folgende Angaben gemacht werden:(a) One size designation, except that equivalent inch and metric size designations may be used;(b) Maximum permissible inflation pressure;(c) Maximum load rating;(d) The generic name of each cord material used in the plies (both sidewall and tread area) of the tire(e) Actual number of plies in the sidewall, and the actual number of plies in the tread area if different;(f) The words "tubeless" or "tube type" as applicable; and(g) The word "radial" if the tire is a radial ply tire.S4.3.1 Each tire shall be labeled with the symbol DOT in the manner specified in Part 574 of this chapter, which shall constitute a certification that the tire conforms to applicable Federal motor vehicle safety standards.S4.3.2 Each tire shall be labeled with the name of the manufacturer, or brand name and number assigned to the manufacturer in the manner specified in Part 574.S4.3.4 If the maximum inflation pressure of a tire is 240, 280, 290, 300, 330, 340, 350 or 390 kPa, then:(a) Each marking of that inflation pressure pursuant to S4.3(b) shall be followed in parenthesis by the equivalent inflation pressure in psi, rounded to the next higher whole number; and(b) Each marking of the tire's maximum load rating pursuant to S4.3(c) in kilograms shall be followed in parenthesis by the equivalent load rating in pounds, rounded to the nearest whole number.S4.3.5 If the maximum inflation pressure of a tire is 420 kpa (60 psi), the tire shall have permanently molded into or onto both sidewalls, in letters and numerals not less than 12.7 mm (½ inch) high, the words "inflate to 420 kpa (60 psi)". On both sidewalls, the words shall be positioned in an area between the tire shoulder and the bead of the tire. However, in no case shall the words be positioned on the tire so that they are obstructed by the flange of any rim designated for use with that tire in thisstandard or in Standard No. 110 (§ 571.110 of this part).Reifen, die diese Regelung nicht erfüllen, werden i.A. mit "NOT FOR HIGHWAY USE" gekennzeichnet, dürfen demnach nicht am öffentlichen Straßenverkehr teilnehmen.Beitrag geändert:02.04.07 11:52:09

Mal eine dumme Frage - sind die Reifen schon irgendwie eingtragen ?Bei meinem 69er Camaro SS 350 war genau der Polyglas F 70-14 nämlich die Standardgröße und so auch in Brief/Schein eingetragen - die Größe war damals zu Muscle Car Zeiten ziemlich populär bei Erstaurüstung.Leider hab ich den Camaro nicht mehr, aber es sollte doch möglich sein, eine Briefkopie o.Ä. zu bekommen.

auch auf meinem 63½er Galaxie sind F70-14 als Serienbereifung eingetragenich habe mittlerweile aber auf 15" Conti SportContact Gürtelreifen umgerüstet.
